Thanks for taking a time to visit us. Our program offers many ways in which you can gain experience and knowledge with an opportunity to develop and improve your public speaking.
There are four main skills that we are focused on:
1. Speech Presentation:
This skill concentrates on preparing & presenting 10 major speaking
projects outlined in the Toastmasters basic manual. There are 15
advanced manuals to choose from.
2. Speech Evaluation:
This skill applies your sense of critical thinking and ability to give
feedback to our speakers. It is useful in helping you to determine what
factors make a successful speech.
3. Impromptu Speaking:
This skill focuses on your ability to think on your feet and speak
effectively with no preparation. It is a very practical everyday skill
and also helps us overcome any nervousness we might feel.
4. Leading a Meeting: This skill strengthens your ability to organize and lead a meeting. It helps us to learn how to follow a meeting protocol.
All of these skills are very important in our day-to-day lives and can only be mastered through practice.
Here at Mohawk Toastmasters club we offer a friendly and
supportive environment for you to work on these skills and have some
fun while you are doing it. You will be surrounded by people who are
working on the same things as you and understand the challenges
involved.

You'll
learn and practice in a friendly, comfortable environment with people
who are there for the same reason you areto become better
communicators.
Hope to see you at the next meeting, guests are always welcome to observe how the club works.
